1-Michelin-star clandestine rooftop from chef Ana Dolores González - Condesa hidden-gem tasting menu. Esquina Común is the Condesa terrace restaurant from chef Ana Dolores González (ex-Expendio de Maíz) and sommelier/partner Carlos Pérez-Puelles. Started clandestinely in a Roma apartment in 2021, it relocated to a Condesa coworking-building rooftop around 2023 and became the first clandestine rooftop restaurant to receive a Michelin star (2024). A rolling ~7-course tasting menu changes every two months, melding Mexican and Spanish cuisines with seasonal ingredients. Signature dishes include smoked plantains with shrimp/coconut/provolone, mackerel tostada, wagyu, stewed short rib sope, cobia ceviche, fried chicken. Seats around 30. Reservations historically Instagram-only DMs but now also via OpenTable (book well in advance). One of the best meals in CDMX - consistently cited as a 'best of' from a vast range of reviewers. Esquina Común holds a Michelin one-star rating in the 2026 Michelin Guide, a distinction it has held since 2024. Chef Ana Dolores González's rolling tasting menu pairs Mexican and Spanish technique on a small Condesa terrace.
